Frequently Asked Questions
(Click questions to read answers.)
What can I expect on my first visit?
Be sure to wear gym type clothing because you will be going through a thorough fitness assessment. You will also be given a body composition test and a workout with a trainer. You will also establish personal goals that the trainer will help you reach.
I hate being pressured to buy something. What happens after the session is over?
The purpose of the first session is for two reasons. First, it gives the trainer you're working with an accurate assessment of where you are physically. So when you choose to start a program you can begin at the appropriate intensity level.
The second is so that you can see what you're going to get. You can only read about a facility or listen to a sales pitch for so long. The only way you'll know if FitnessPro is for you is to try it for yourself. If you don't like it, we want you to find somewhere else that you do. Simple as that!
What kinds of programs do you offer?
We have several different program options for every age and ability level. You can purchase single, one-hour sessions or you can get sessions in a program. Programs run from 5 weeks up to 1 year and any length of time in between.
How many times a week do I come in?
For the Boot Camp program you specify at the beginning whether you want to do twice or three times per week. For all of the other programs you use the sessions as you choose. Most people do twice a week with at trainer. But you could do less or more depending on how intense you want to get.
What do I get with the Boot Camp that's different from the other programs?
All of our programs come with a cardio component and nutrition component. With the Boot Camp, we have you write each part down every week and then hand it in. We keep it in your file so we can keep track of your activity level over 12 weeks. This helps us so if you feel you're not getting the results you want, we can look back at the cardio and nutrition and change things up so that you do get them.
Of course, don't forget that with all of our programs we can track your cardio and diet. With the Boot Camp it's mandatory.
How long will each session run?
Each workout session is set by appointment and is 1 hour in length. Each consists of a warm-up and a stretching and cool down period.
Are the sessions boring and tedious?
No! Each time you come in, the workout will be completely different than the last time you were in. This keeps you interested, your body guessing, and the results coming.
Will I always work with the same trainer?
Due to the small staff size, our trainers are able to work in close concert with one another. This ensures that if someone were to work with a different trainer than they started with, the same program would be maintained. Who you work with depends on both the trainer's and your schedule. That being said, if you want to work with a particular trainer we will do all we can to accommodate that.
